Getting a good night's sleep is important to our feeling of well being, it is essential to the way we operate on a day to day basic in our personal and working life. Being alert and full of energy contributes to the quality of life we have in a very positive way, making our ability to live and make decisions much easier. The amount of sleep a person needs seems to vary according to age, teenagers approx eight to nine hours, adults around seven to eight hours and the elderly approx seven hours, but sleep for shorter periods of time and generaly tend to nap/snooze more.
