“Art theft” is the theft of art. The thieves are motivated by the fact that these antique items weigh only a few kilograms but they are worth millions of dollars, so they always keep an eye on them and wait for the proper time for their theft.
But there is a very interesting fact about antique or art theft. Once they had stolen any article of antique, then they start thinking of selling it. They start searching for the potential buyers of it, but unfortunately they are not able to find them. As the precious item they have with them is merely a stolen item, which cannot be put on display public ally, which essentially defeats the purpose of having it. At last they had to sold that piece in not more than 5% of the real cost.

On Sunday a theft of antique was suspected by the antique authority at the archeological site of Tel Hanaton in the Galilee. The thief was using a metal detector to look for the antique coins. Then his bag was being searched by the archeological authority, they found some antique coins in that. Then upon interrogation by the police, he confessed his theft and was released on a bail.
Intentions behind antique theft- How to avoid it-
Thieves are always attracted towards these antique items because these are really costly and precious, important, loving and very sophisticated things of any nation. There are 2 intentions of their theft-
1. As the thieves come to know that these are so costly items they start planning to steal them whenever they will get a golden chance for it. The intention behind this is that they will get such high prices for these items.
2. These thieves are always enemy of their nations .they just want to have fun through stealing these precious memories, which will in turn will create a problem and tension to the police of there and to the owner of that museum.
So it is the responsibility on the antique authority department that how to save such precious things from these thieves, who are very smart.
